Wake Health Officials Investigate Possible Tuberculosis Exposure At School

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Human Services Department is looking into whether students at Sanderson High School in Raleigh were exposed to a person with tuberculosis.

    According to Wake County Human Services, a relatively small number of persons are likely to have been exposed, and no one is at immediate risk of any health problems.

    School officials are working very closely with Wake County Human Services to contact the people who may have been affected to ensure that they receive appropriate testing and treatment.

    A letter was recently sent home with students detailing the situation.
