As a VT grad of 2002 living in the Raleigh area, I'm so thankful and appreciative of the support that NCSU is giving. The local RTP Alumni Association (www.rtphokie.org.) has more information about a vigil that Duke is having. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the entire VT community.

Harris Field is in front of Witherspoon, at the corner of Cates and Dan Allen.

So WRAL got word from NC State of this happening, but didn't bother to contact any other local universities to see what they might also be doing? Way to make a 'fill in' story WRAL. If you are going to go to this extent just to get a fill in story, you might as well comment on how all the local universities are having some sort of rememberance/vigil for this tragedy.

As a member of Virginia Tech's Class of '87, I want to attend this vigil. Where is Harris Field? I couldn't find it on the NCSU campus map.

What a heartfelt gesture to offer love and support to VT.

    Great work NCSU.

I think we all realize that this could have happened at any campus.

I am anxiously awaiting some kind of explanation for what caused this tragedy.

I think that all of North Carolina in "ACC" land need to step up and acknowledge the victims and families thru this tragedy, even if its only a moment of silence as a tribute to the lives that were lost and the impact it has made on our nation as a whole. Thank you NC State for your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you NCSU for stepping up. This is truely wonderful of the students of State.

Thank you, NCSU. The entire nation is in shock/mourning over what happened yesterday, and I think we all need to attend something like this.

It is refreshing to see our young adults showing compassion and caring for their peers..."There, but for the grace of God, go I..." Although I will not be able to attend, I send my thoughts and prayers with them!
