LILLINGTON — A probe into drug sales in the Harnett County jail has led to the arrest of a jailer. Tommie Arnold Campbell is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Investigators arrested Campbell Thursday morning when, they say, he tried to deliver marijuana to an inmate in the jail.
Campbell has been with the sheriff's department since 1990. This all comes at the end of a probe into marijuana sale in the jail.
He is free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
