FAYETTEVILLE — During statewide conferences this weekend, one group of United Methodists decided NOT to support same-sex marriages or the ordination of homosexuals.
A second Methodist group voted not to discuss a measure that would have opened the church to more gays.
In Fayetteville, where about a thousand members met for their annual conference, it was decided that members would continue to pray and discuss the issue that has divided their church.
