WRAL Report Helps Solve Crime

CLAYTON — Johnston County Police credit a WRAL-TV report for helping them catch a robbery suspect.

Earlier this month, we told you how Richard Oliver was attacked with pepper spray during the robbery of his country store in Clayton. Police say after our report aired, they got several tips which led to the arrest of Anthony William Jones of Creedmoor.

The key piece of evidence was a homemade mask with an insignia, which tipsters said belonged to Jones.
