Wendell, N.C. — Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in an accident near Wendell.
They were taken to WakeMed for treatment, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.
Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at about 5:30 pm on Wendell Boulevard at Old Battle Bridge Road. There were two vehicles involved in the accident, and officers had to close down Wendell Boulevard to clear the scene.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation Wednesday evening.
