RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for an assailant in connection to a shooting that occurred in downtown Raleigh late Sunday afternoon.
Detectives have released few details about the investigation, but confirm that one person was shot at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of
South Haywood and East Lenoir streets
.
Police said the gunman was last seen fleeing the scene in a burgundy Infiniti.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Sunday's shooting was the second downtown shooting of the weekend. On Saturday, a man was shot to death on the
100 block of Maple Street
. Police are still looking for a suspect in that case.
