A man is dead and another is injured following an altercation in Wayne County.

Sheriff deputies responded to a 911 call from a house at 156 Flowers Road in Mount Olive. When they arrived, they found Deon Black Graham dead in the carport. Authorities believe he was stabbed to death, but an autopsy will be conducted in Chapel Hill to determine the exact cause.

Investigators learned Terreaskus A. Davis, 23, of 137 Flowers Road, had been asked to leave by Graham earlier. Authorities said Davis returned a short time later and an altercation ensued.

Another person, Donald Wayne Graham, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital with stab wounds. He was later transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Davis has been charged with murder and is being held without bond at the Wayne County Jail.

No surprises in this article.

For everyone that reads this article, you should know the kind of man that Deon Graham was. I have had the HONOR and the PRIVELEDGE of working with Deon for the last couple of years and he was truly a gift to this world. He always spoke to everyone, he was always cheerful and always kind. He took time from his busy work routine to talk to patients that were upset, no matter how long it took, and always made them feel better. He was easily able to do this same for his co-workers. He made us all laugh, all the time, and had such interesting insights. He always had a smile for everyone, a joke and a laugh. He will be missed HORRIBLY and loved eternally. May God bless his family as they suffer this loss, one that we as his friends and co-workers share but cannot begin to comprehend. We will honestly never forget him.

To the person who asked for more details, check the site for the News Argus. It has a little more. For the person who was talking about gangs in the area. One of the high schools in Duplin County was on lockdown yesterday because of a gang fight the day before. However, this murder was not gang related. Deon was an outstanding man and employee. The co-workers in his unit and through out the facility are devastated. He touched a lot of lives and he will be missed.
