Fayetteville Police Warn Of Solicitations

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are warning residents and businesses against a possible charity scam.

    Authorities say someone pretending to be a police officer is promising to use monetary donations to buy warm clothes for children.

    Real officers, police say, do not solicit money in person or over the phone.
