Firefighters Respond to Wilson House Fire

More than a dozen firefighters and four engine trucks responded to a house fire in Wilson shortly after noon Thursday.

WILSON, N.C. — More than a dozen firefighters and four engine trucks responded to a house fire in Wilson shortly after noon Thursday.

The fire broke out  at a house at 3721 Trace Drive. Officials believe the fire started in the garage and spread throughout the house.

Witnesses said it sounded like there was an explosion at the house.

Authorities said a teenager, identified as Jeffrey Williams, and four pets was at home at the time of the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
