HOPE MILLS, N.C. — Hope Mills officials say it could cost $10 million to repair a dam in Cumberland County.
Town leaders say the price to repair the dam at Hope Mills Lake continues to climb.
The dam broke back in May 2003 following heavy rains. The price hike is blamed on the soaring cost of concrete and steel.
The state is handling a percentage of the repair cost.
