Former Coach Accused Of Peeping Gets New Sentence

Posted Updated

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A former high school coach has been resentenced on peeping charges.

Billy Apple pleaded guilty last year. The Orange County man secretly videotaped dozens of young women at a tanning salon he owned in Hillsborough.

The state Court of Appeals ruled Apple should be resentenced because of a technicality.

Apple will not serve any jail time, but he will be on probation for the next five years. He still has to pay $64,000 in fines.
