<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — The search is on for the man accused of killing a former Wake County teaching assistant.

Investigators said Melvin Williams shot and killed Yvette Raeford in her apartment parking lot in Richmond, Va.

Police believe the shooting is domestic-related.

Raeford was born and raised in Zebulon. She worked at Hodge Road Elementary until October 2003, when she moved to Richmond.
