RALEIGH, N.C. — A 14-year-old was taken into police custody Friday night after the teenager allegedly shot another teenager outside a party in Raleigh, police said.
Police said 17-year-old Jameson Stanley was shot by a 14-year-old, whose name has not been released because of the suspect's age, at about 10:45 p.m. near the 3200 block of
Huntleigh Drive
.
Several dozen teenagers were present at the party when the shooting occurred, authorities said.
Stanley was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and then released.
Police have not revealed any further details about the incident.
