DNA Helps To Crack Wake County Rape Case

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County deputies credit DNA with cracking an 11-year-old rape case.

Deputies charged Alfred Cooper with rape and burglary dating back to June 1994.

Investigators say he attacked a woman in her home.

Cooper is already serving time for similar charges in a separate case.
