HOKE COUNTY, N.C. — A Hoke County manufacturing company announced that it is laying off more workers.

Unilever

, which manufactures brand name products in the foods, home care and personal care industries, plans to lay off 50 workers from its Hoke County plant by Thanksgiving.

Last summer, more than 100 employees lost their jobs when the company phased out the company's hair spray division.

Earlier this year, another Hoke County plant cut jobs; Burlington Industries let about 200 people go.
