PINEHURST, N.C. — There has been a decision in a controversial noise ordinance.
In a unanimous vote, the noise curfew in Pinehurst now stands at 10 p.m., which means noise from all recreational activity must stop by that time.
The council also relaxed the language, saying that only "unreasonable" noise is prohibited after 10 p.m.
The ordinance replaces a June curfew of 8:30 p.m.
