ANGIER, N.C. — A jury cleared an Angier town commissioner of charges after being accused of pistol-whipping a woman.
Inez Lee, 75, was charged with hitting Shirley Pierce with a gun three times last fall at a yard sale.
Defense attorneys said Lee was defending herself at the time of the attack.
