JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Autopsy results released Saturday showed that a man found in the middle of a Johnston County farm died as a result of a massive heart attack.
The Johnston County Sheriff's Office said 68-year-old William David Barden was found dead Friday in some bushes near his truck on his farm, which is located off of
Richardson Bridge Road
near Princeton.
Barden's son found his father's body after he reported him missing, Johnston County Sheriff Steve Bizzell said.
"Everybody thought the world of him. He lived by himself, didn't bother anyone, always friendly," Bizzell said. "The neighborhood is just shocked at his death."
