Man Arrested, Another Wanted For Shootings At Durham Swim Club

DURHAM, N.C. — On Friday, Durham police charged two more people in connection with the shootings that wounded six teens last week at a swim club in Durham.

Ricky Eugene Baines, 21, and Raheem Donell Green, 22, have each been charged with six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury for the August 5 shooting at the

Six people, who ranged in ages from 16 to 19, were wounded during the shootings and taken to the Duke University Medical Center for treatment. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, police said.

Durham police, acting on a CrimeStoppers tip, arrested Baines Saturday afternoon. Officers found him hiding inside a bedroom closet at an apartment complex on

Camden Avenue

. Officers also recovered a handgun in the apartment.

Baines is being held in the Durham County Jail under a $2 million bond.

Last weekend, police arrested

three suspects

-- 18-year-old Charles Goodman Jr., 19-year-old Ricky Gunter, and 20-year-old Nathan Wilds -- who also have been charged with six counts of aggravated assault. These three suspects appeared in court Monday and will stay in custody on $2 million bond. Their next scheduled court appearance will be Aug. 29.
