RALEIGH, N.C. — No charges will be filed against a driver who hit and killed a man Tuesday night, the Raleigh Police Department said Wednesday.
Hector Peralta Velasquez, 37, was riding his bicycle at about 9:20 p.m. eastbound on
Hillsborough Street near Nowell Road
when a 1987 Pontiac driven by Emily McGill, 29, of Cary, struck him, according to police.
Investigators said the bicycle did not have any lights or reflectors.
