Authorities Capture Two Who Escaped From Granville County Jail

GRANVILLE COUNTY, N.C. — The search is over for two inmates who escaped from the Granville County Jail overnight Tuesday.

Authorities picked up Noel Waff, 19, and Kristen Sky Whitaker, 17, Tuesday afternoon about

three miles south of Oxford along U.S. Highway 15 South

.

Waff, who is originally from Arizona, was charged with possession of stolen goods, second-degree burglary and larceny after breaking and entering. Whitaker was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Authorities have not released details about how the inmates escaped.
