RALEIGH, N.C. — Harnett County officials finally settled an $18,000 mixup.
The dispute involves two Robert Morgans in the county -- Judge Robert B. Morgan and U.S. Senator Robert B. Morgan.
The county bought an easement from Senator Morgan, but accidentally paid Judge Morgan.
After saying he would not return the money, Judge Morgan repaid the county $15,000.
Judge Morgan was allowed to keep more than $3,000 for a fence county workers damaged.
