Thief Takes Off With Over $4,000 In Lingerie From Cary Store

CARY, N.C. — A Cary lingerie store was robbed over the weekend.
Authorities say someone stole more than 200 bras and panties, worth about $4,000, from the Victoria's Secret at Cary Towne Center.
The weekend theft was not the first time undergarments have been stolen from local stores.
In February, Durham police said thieves stole 200 bras worth more than $8, at a Victoria's Secret at The Streets at Southpoint. Around $1,100 worth of bras were also stolen from the same chain at Durham's Northgate Mall. In Cary, thieves made off with $2,000 worth of lingerie.
In September 2003, a shoplifter took off with $4,000 worth of lingerie from a store at Northgate Mall. Earlier that year, police say $5,000 in bras and panties were taken from the same store.
