Goldsboro Minister To Announce NAACP President Candidacy

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro pastor wants to put his leadership skills to work for the NAACP.

The Rev. William Barber II plans to announce his candidacy for president of the state conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People on Monday.

Barber has served as pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church for more than a decade.
