WILSON, N.C. — Wilson authorities are searching for a man wanted on first-degree charges of kidnapping his wife.
Tyrone McArthur Cooper, 26, is also wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and communicating threats.
On July 7, according to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, Cooper forced his wife into a vehicle and refused to let her out of it. Authorities say he then threatened to kill his wife and then drove the vehicle into a tree.
Cooper and his wife were transported to a local hospital, but he left the emergency room before law enforcement authorities arrived, the sheriff's office said.
Anyone with information on Cooper's whereabouts should contact the Wilson County Sheriff's Office at
