Child Injured In Cumberland County Drive-By Shooting

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a 12-year-old girl Thursday afternoon near Fort Bragg.

At about 1:55 p.m., a car was firing shots outside a mobile home on Holland Street when a bullet went through a wall and struck the girl in the chest.

Authorities said the girl was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is expected to fully recover.

Authorities have not released any other details about the case.
