A body found Friday afternoon in woods off Wilkins Road in Bahama in northern Durham County has been identified.


<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A body found Friday afternoon in woods off Wilkins Road in Bahama in northern Durham County has been identified.<br />

The body of Luis Fernando Vargas, 39, was found Friday afternoon about 200 feet off Wilkins Road, Durham Police Captain Paul Martin said.<br />

Police determined that Vargas was murdered. The investigation into his death is ongoing.

Mykia Daniel, an eighth grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh apartment. A 16-year-old was charged with her murder.
