DSW To Notify Customers About Stolen Credit Information

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Triangle shoppers are getting an unwanted gift in the mail.

Earlier this year, DSW Shoe Warehouse announced hackers broke into its computer records and stole 1.4 million credit card numbers and information on 90,000 checks from shoppers across the country.

Now DSW is sending out letters to shoppers whose information it knows was stolen.

Shoppers who bought shoes at the Cary store between November and February are vulnerable.

The company suggests that those concerned contact their credit card company and bank and get a copy of their credit report.
