Police say thieves took a brick and smashed the glass on the front door of the store. They went inside and took most of the merchandise. According to police, the thieves made several trips until they had cleaned out the store.
"They took everything. They wiped me out," store owner Quinton Jones said.
Authorities believe the thieves did not hold onto the loot for long.
"They could sell it very easily on the street and make a pretty, good profit," said Lt. Floyd Griffin, of the Oxford Police Department.
Police say some of the jerseys that brought $270 in the store sold for as little as $10 on the street.
"I think they sold some maybe in Durham where one of the suspects we suspect is living now," Griffin said.
Police arrested Edward Alston on a list of charges related to the burglary. Two other suspects -- Keon Crisp and Rachard Thomas -- are still on the loose. Police believe they are in the Durham area.
The store opened with no surveillance cameras and no theft insurance. Now, the store is back in business with more security.
