RALEIGH, N.C. — Before you hop on the jet ski, there are some new rules you need to follow.
The General Assembly passed a law, raising the minimum driver's age to 14. They must also pass a safety course.
Statewide statistics show young drivers account for nearly half of all personal watercraft accidents. Eighty-three percent had no training.
Gov. Mike Easley still has to sign the bill.
