Erwin, N.C. — An Erwin man faces charges for allegedly inhaling Freon from an air conditioner outside a woman’s home.
Police in Erwin arrested Jerome Howard Ryals, 27, earlier this month.
The resident called police to say a man was outside her window, moaning for help.
When officers arrived, they said, they found Ryals lying next to the unit, inhaling Freon from a plastic bag. He was charged with larceny and possessing drug paraphernalia.
