VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. — An Apex man is dead after a shooting rampage in an oceanfront condo in Virginia Beach Saturday.
Police said Marcus Garrett shot and killed 25-year-old David Kusa and two others, including the mother of Garrett's two-year-old daughter, early Saturday morning.
Garrett, 27, was arrested several hours later, at about 7 a.m. Saturday, on I-95 near the North Carolina border.
Garrett's daughter was with him and unharmed. He has been charged with several counts of murder.
Kusa was attending law school at the University of South Carolina. He graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill in 2001.
Investigators do not believe that Kusa and Garrett knew each other.
