Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — The

slaying of a Durham convenience store owner

has other local business owners on edge.

On Wednesday, they asked Durham mayor Bill Bell for more protection, including increased patrols.

The meeting was in response to the slaying of Ahmed Raja last week. Police said three gang members killed him inside his store before stealing the cash register.
