Three Men Arrested In Cumberland County Drug Raid

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Three men were arrested after a drug raid Thursday afternoon at a Fayetteville home.

Cumberland County narcotics agents seized drugs, weapons and thousands of dollars in currency from a home near the Arran Hills subdivision.

Patrick Gerard Purcell, 26, 37-year old Jimmie Windell Brown and 45-year old William Edward King were charged with trafficking in cocaine, conspiring to traffic in cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of an AK-47 assault weapon.

The three men were also charged with possession of a Glock .45-caliber pistol, which was stolen from Robeson County.

King is the only suspect who remains in the Cumberland County Jail at this time. His bail has been set at $34,625.
