Grounds At U.S. Open Not Yet Up To Par

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The U.S. Open tees off in less than a month.

Crews are working to make sure the grass makes the cut since the U.S. Open has strict rules for the golf course.

For example, the rough needs to be three inches tall. Right now, it is an inch and a half.

It is not clear what happens if the course is not "up to par."

Either way, ground crews say they have plenty of time, and the weather seems to be cooperating.
