Durham Police Investigate Three Overnight Shootings

DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Police Department is investigating three shootings that occurred early Saturday morning.

Police said they received a call at 12:22 a.m. Saturday about a man who was shot in the leg in front of a building on Sherwood Drive. This man would not give his name or age to police.

Police said another man was shot in the arm in a house on East Main Street after 3 a.m. This man was able to drive himself to the Duke University Medical Center.

A third male victim was shot in the arm at a liquor store on Nebo Street. Police said a companion with the 29-year-old man also suffered an asthma attack, and both were transported to Duke's hospital.

Police said none of the injuries in these three shootings appear life threatening, and they do not believe the shootings are related.
