RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh's chief of police wants more money.
Chief Jane Perlov said north Raleigh is growing so quickly that the department needs dozens more officers.
Perlov is asking for a budget increase of more than $4 million.
The money would include hiring 42 new officers to patrol north Raleigh.
