<b>JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C.</b> — Problems with 911 in Johnston County forced residents to use a different number for emergencies.

Jason Barbour, the county's 911 director said service went down before 6 a.m. Friday after the system's carrier, Spring, was having problems.
