St. Pauls Backs Off Annexation Plans

Posted Updated

ST. PAULS, N.C. — Places such as Cary and Fayetteville are not the only ones caught up in an annexation mess.

The Robeson County town of St. Pauls wanted to annex 300 people, but it backed off its plans.

Town leaders said they did not follow state and federal laws. They need to re-do the process and hope to have it complete for 2007.

Officials said people who already spent money hooking up to St. Pauls' sewer should get refunds.
