Sampson Authorities Seize Four Pounds Of Cocaine In Weekend Drug Search

GARLAND, N.C. — Special agents seized over $200,000 worth of cocaine Saturday after receiving an anonymous call, the Sampson County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Juan Garcia Cardoso, of 935 Parkersburg Road, was arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses, including trafficking by possession of cocaine, manufacturing cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Agents from the Special Investigation Division approached Cardoso and received permission to conduct a search of his premises, where they discovered four pounds of cocaine and a firearm inside a storage building along with other drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said.

Cardoso was placed in the Sampson County Detention Center under a $502,500 bond.
