Fans Support Hurricanes Despite NHL Lockout

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — There's still no hockey, but fans headed to the RBC Center on Sunday anyway.

Several Carolina Hurricanes fans threw a tailgate party to mark what would have been the end of the NHL's regular season.

One of the players, Kevyn Adams, joined the crowd.

The fans told WRAL that they wanted to show their support for the team, but they're frustrated that the entire season was lost.

If it were not for the NHL lockout, the Hurricanes would have played their last home game Sunday.
