DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters spent Monday morning working hot spots at a home that burned to the ground in Durham.

The house on Angier Ave was gutted and is a total loss. The house was apparently abandoned.

Firefighters got the call around 2 Monday morning. There is no word on what started the blaze.

Less than two weeks ago another fire broke out in the same area of town.

Crews shut down part of the intersection of Angier Ave and Lyon Street as they put out the fire.

The house, also abandoned, was a total loss.
