CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte police said a woman made up a story about her baby being abducted so police could find her car.
Officers said Rachel Beharry reported her car and child missing Monday afternoon.
Dozens of officers took part in a search, and they found the car 45 minutes later. But the baby was not inside.
The child was later found safe at home.
Beharry has been charged with filing a false police report.
