Durham Adopts New Public Comment Rules For School Board Meetings

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — After weeks of bickering, Durham's School Board voted to pass its new public comment policy.

The board voted 4-2, with board member Regina George Bowden out sick.

The policy now means anyone who speaks at meetings must limit discussion to agenda items only.

Some people say they will ignore the policy and are prepared to go to jail.
