FAYETTEVILLE — A Hoke County sheriff's deputy is dead following a traffic accident.
Officer Larry Walker was off-duty at the time. Investigators said he was test-driving a motorcycle when he collided with a Jeep. They believe he was killed instantly.
The wreck happened on Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville. Right now, investigators are not saying who was at fault.
Hoke County's chief deputy described Walker as dedicated and loyal.
He is survived by a wife and four children.
