EOG Tests Will Not Be Scored Differently This Year

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A questionable set of sixth-grade reading scores will not affect the way end-of-grade tests are graded this year.

Teachers missed out on bonus money last year after just two schools statewide met expected growth in that area. Many teachers blamed the state for the way the scores were measured.

The State Board of Education voted not to change the system.

However, the board is discussing an overhaul of the way ABC scores are examined.
