Plan Would Remove Games From State Employees' Computers

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — State lawmakers want to crack down on people who surf the Internet or play computer games at work.

A bill in the General Assembly would require all agencies to delete games from state computers.

Another bill would restrict all types of personal computer use by state employees, including e-mail and using the Internet.

Studies show personal use of computers in the workplace cost companies billions of dollars a year.
