WILSON, N.C. — An overturned logging truck on southbound Interstate 95 at U.S. 264 caused some traffic hassles on Thursday.
The accident happened around 9:15 a.m at mile marker 119 near Wilson. The Highway Patrol said 29-year-old Avis Devon Holloman was driving the logging truck when he swerved to avoid rear-ending another vehicle
Holloman lost control of the logging truck and the contents dumped out on the roadway. The road was closed about three hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
Holloman had minor injuries and was transported to Wilson Medical Center. He was charged with careless and reckless driving.
