Three Highway Patrol Cars Damaged In Chase

Posted Updated

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — The Highway Patrol says a drug trafficking suspect led authorities on a car chase from South Carolina into Robeson County Wednesday night.

Troopers say Troy Hendley took off while being arrested in Dillon County. The chase, which damaged three highway patrol vehicles, covered 50 miles north on Interstate 95.

Troopers used stop sticks to slow Hendley's car down and then used a moving roadblock to send him into a guardrail.

Hendley, who's also suspected of robbery in Maryland, is in jail on $110,000 bond.
